I'm so bad at this

I know I said I would keep this updated, but it is just so hard. Where to begin. In the last month we have had so many firsts. First invite to a party, first Zoo trip, first gymanastics class. The list goes on. But these were some of our favorites.
With Summer here we decided to stop her swqim lesson until the Fall. Quite honestly, she is so much more advanced than the others she was bored. She just wanted to go! So instead we decided to start gymnastics. She is a natural at that too. My little Olympian! We tried the Little Gym first than Carolina Twister. The Little Gym seemed like a better fit. She officially begin next Thursday.
A few weeks ago Lucy attended her first birthday party. Her friend Claire turned 2. It was an amazing party at the park. Lucy (and Mark) had a great time. And Nana was there too!
This past weekend we went to the Zoo. Lucy just loved animals. She especially loved the Sea Lions, at least until they come toward her. Oddly enough she chose the Polar Bear out of the gift shop.
She is beginning to talk more and more each day. Her favorite word. . .MORE. Its always "More" She knows Nana, but she runs to the bananas when we say "Nana's here" She know Aunt Ashley as Aunt LaLa and Pawpaw as just "Pa" She calls Grandpa "Pa" and hasn't mastered anything yet for Grandma Martha. We are working on it. She almost has Memaw, its more of a MeMe. Which I'm sure Memaw wont mind.

My First Blog

Welcome to the Eanes Family Blog. In case you are wondering about the title (Rei of Sunshine) that was a clever decision made by Mark. Even I was blown away with how clever it was. Rei is the Japanesse version of Ray which is Mark's middle name which we changed to Rei when we named Lucy Reilyn.
I know the "it" thing right now is Twitter, but before I tried that I thought I would blog. I know I am a little behind on the times. I hope everyone will enjoy reading about our day-to-day activities as a family.

The Weekend has come to an end and of course I am bummed. Lucy has been so much fun this weekend (as always!). We planted flowers, played on her new playground, went swimming, and played with Mason. Its amazing how each week she gets older and smarter. Yesterday we saw just how smart she was. Her show had fallen off while playing, no big deal right? WRONG! She freaked out and would not let her bare foot touch the ground without a show on. Out of frustration because Mama (Me) kept laughing at how adorable it was, she pout her shoe back on. Can you believe it? GENIUS!

We hope everyone has a great week ahead and I will "blog"again soon!

Love,
Caroline
